Holy Cross Chapel (above the Town Museum) is the spiritual heart of Watchet. All may join in prayer here every day of the week.
The original chapel was built by the family of Reginald Fitzurse, one of the four knights who murdered Thomas a Becket, the Archbishop of Canterbuy, in 1170. A chaplain was paid to keep a candle lit and to pray for the family before a Holy Cross.
The Chapel was rebuilt in 1833 and is still used for prayer and worship every day.
On Wednesdays the Vicar is at Holy Cross all day to meet people. Drop in for a chat and a coffee, for prayer at any time or worship at -
